1. Forgotten Password?

Keep your passwords safe

GreenAnt encrypts all passwords so if you lose a password, we won't be able to recover it for you.

However, we can reset passwords and are happy to do so, just get in touch.

We'll soon be implementing a reset password by SMS system which will make this even easier.

Most of your accounts have the same password but it may happen that you have different passwords, for instance your email password may not be same as your wordpress login password if you change it.

We highly recommend using a password storage application, Keepass is our favourite.

2. Difficulty sending Emails?

check your SMTP Settings

Outgoing mail leaves on port 25 using the SMTP protocol. Some ISPs block this port. IN which case you'll either need to get it unblocked or use an alternative aproach.

For more details see this help document

Sometimes your settings may be incorrect, they should be:

  • Outgoing Mail: SMTP
  • Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.greenant.net
  • Requires Authentication: YES
  • Encrypted: YES - SSL
  • Port: 25
  • Username: youremail@yourdomain.com
  • Password: YourPassword

if your ISP is blocking port 25, you can use port 21 instead. This port if usually open as it is used for sending files via the FTP protocol. The GreenAnt SMTP server is set to respond to outgoing email on this port.
